Dona Eley was a mental health clinician who divided her time and volunteer work between Alaska, Buffalo, New York and the Middle East. She served as a licensed professional counselor in Juneau, Alaska for 14 years.
She was treated for breast cancer in 2014 and wrote a number of blog posts describing that experience. In December 2018 she was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. She took up the pen again to describe this new journey.
After four years of treatment for this pervasive cancer, Dona succumbed to the illness on January 22, 2023.
Her husband, David, now occasionally contributes to her blog in an effort to learn and relearn how Dona’s musings and observations about the vicissitudes and joys of life and faith comforted her and others.
